Teaching: Mentoring: Workshops: Critique Groups

An extraordinary photographer, Emily is also a gifted educator who is committed to helping other photographers flourish too... At a crossroads, she is the person I go to for guidance, and I always leave our conversations with a deeper understanding and clarity.

Mentoring

I love working one-on-one with artists to develop and deepen their artistic practice. I am available for both one-time and on-going sessions. Clients come to me for portfolio development; editing and sequencing for book and exhibition; marketing strategies; and preparation for portfolio reviews. Contact me for availability and pricing.

Classes & Workshops

I currently teach the Atelier at the Griffin Museum of Photography, a year-long portfolio building class for emerging to advanced photographers. The class runs September through May and culminates in an exhibit at the Griffin Museum.

I have taught past classes and workshops at deCordova Museum; Arlington Center for the Arts; Lasell University; Pine Manor College; and Mass College of Art and Design.

Check back for future workshop offerings or contact me to discuss!

My class with Emily was beyond anything I hoped for. She’s a wonderful teacher – empathic, patient and flexible – indulging and affirming our choices while guiding us to see what works and what might not.

Critique Groups

I am available to facilitate and coordinate on-going critique groups for artists. I work with groups ranging in size from three to eight participants. Facilitated critique groups are an excellent way to keep strong momentum and engaged participation. Email me if you have a group in need of facilitation, or if you are looking to join a group conversation.
